| Abstract(esp): | Una arritmia es una alteración en el ritmo normal de los latidos cardíacos (Flórez et al., 2004; Smith y Ferguson, 1991, pp. 84-85) que puede tener una repercusión hemodinámica y poner en peligro la vida del paciente. Esto exige la rápida implementación de diversas estrategias terapéuticas encaminadas a controlar y prevenir posibles complicaciones (Hall et al., 2000, p. 393). Las arritmias cardiacas son alteraciones muy frecuentes que todo equipo de salud debe atender habitualmente cuando realiza su trabajo. Sobre este tema, amplio y complicado, el personal de enfermería en muchas ocasiones no posee un adecuado conocimiento para brindar un excelente cuidado a pacientes con estas alteraciones. |
| Abstract(eng): | An arrhythmia is an alteration in the normal rhythm of the heartbeat (Flórez et al., 2004; Smith and Ferguson, 1991, pp. 84-85) that can have a hemodynamic impact and endanger the patient's life. This requires the rapid implementation of various therapeutic strategies aimed at controlling and preventing possible complications (Hall et al., 2000, p. 393). Cardiac arrhythmias are very common disorders that every health team must regularly attend to when carrying out their work. Regarding this broad and complicated topic, nursing staff often do not have adequate knowledge to provide excellent care to patients with these disorders. |
