| Abstract(esp): | La elevada producción de plástico, su derivación como residuo y las fuertes implicaciones que tiene sobre el ambiente y la salud humana han hecho que se comience a repensar las dinámicas de fabricación y el tratamiento de este material cuando ya es considerado residuo. Los plásticos son polímeros o moléculas de cadenas largas formadas por eslabones que se repiten, permitiéndole al material sus propiedades más importantes: plasticidad, ligereza, resistencia, durabilidad, flexibilidad y elasticidad; propiedades que a su vez han potenciado su consumo elevado y seguidamente su consecución como residuo, facilitando la acumulación en el medio ambiente durante cientos de años, causando graves problemas medioambientales. |
| Abstract(eng): | The high production of plastic, its derivation as waste and the strong implications it has on the environment and human health have led us to begin to rethink the manufacturing dynamics and treatment of this material when it is already considered waste. Plastics are polymers or long chain molecules formed by repeating links, giving the material its most important properties: plasticity, lightness, resistance, durability, flexibility and elasticity; properties that in turn have promoted its high consumption and subsequently its achievement as waste, facilitating its accumulation in the environment for hundreds of years, causing serious environmental problems. |
